I would like to lend my full support the Which?’s campaign to persuade the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) to use its regulatory powers to prevent the use expensive non geographical numbers by FCA regulated companies. The large companies do not need revenues from telephone lines. I do not believe that non-geographical numbers comply with the spirit of the FCA’s Treating Customers Fairly rules.
As an IFA in London I took a business decision to buy a geographical telephone number which would be low cost or inclusive of contract minutes for mobile phone contracts. I am pleased the following article names and shames the big Financial Services names the participate in charging their customers more http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-24977130
