There is a lot of resentment in the private sector about the generous public sector pensions, even considering that they are reforming the pension regime. I predict there will be further reforms in the future owing to this resentment, and more and more Councils will outsource activities to private sector tenders in part because of this resentment. Ideally we would have a more generous pension tax regime and improved annuity rates.
